The Third-Season Documentary of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program Meets the Audience

Borusan Holding has released an inspiring documentary focusing on the third term of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program. This special production highlights the impact of projects tackling the climate crisis and inequality, as well as Borusan’s strong contribution to a sustainable future.

Launched to support initiatives that create value for both the environment and society, Borusan Holding’s Sustainable Benefit Program celebrates its third term with a dedicated documentary. Centered around combating the climate crisis and reducing inequalities, the documentary showcases the success stories and transformative power of the supported projects. This inspiring production bears the signature of director Vedat Atasoy, one of the founders of Turkey’s first and only documentary channel, beIN İZ TV.

Nursel Ölmez Ateş, Borusan Holding’s Group President of People, Communication, and Sustainability, stated:

“Initiated in 2022 with the vision of creating a more livable world, the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program is more than a support mechanism—it represents a true ecosystem. We provide comprehensive support to projects that focus on social benefit and drive social transformation, ranging from needs assessments to capacity-building, specialized trainings, and mentorship opportunities. We continue to evolve our program in line with the latest social and sustainability trends. Our aim is not only to help innovative projects sprout but also to ensure that their impact multiplies and reaches broader audiences.”

The documentary, created in collaboration with Impact Hub Istanbul, presents the journey of the third term of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program. It explores in detail how the supported projects have evolved from their inception to the present day and the tangible environmental and social benefits they have generated.

This year, the program received a record number of applications—428 projects from 58 provinces across Turkey. Among those selected were:

  • Bongo Art Project, which maps museum accessibility through visitor experiences and provides guidance services,
  • Turkey’s Endangered Sounds Project, which raises awareness about biodiversity under threat from the climate crisis by combining the sounds of endangered bird species with recordings by musicians, and
  • Çarşı Pazar Project, which proposes a circular economy model to minimize food waste in local markets and improve working conditions for vendors.

The documentary focusing on the third term of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program premiered on beIN İZ TV on September 16, followed by three encore broadcasts that received significant attention. Starting today, it is available for viewing on the Borusan Holding YouTube channel:
