Borçelik

Borçelik was established in 1990 as Türkiye's first private and second biggest flat steel producer. It started its operations in 1994 to produce cold rolled steel coil. Following investments totaling USD 530 million in 1994, 2003 and 2008, Borçelik increased its production capacity to 1.5 million tons.

With three cold rolling and three hot dip galvanizing lines, Borçelik has increased its galvanizing capacity to 900,000 tons and is the biggest and highest quality galvanized steel producer in Türkiye. The total annual production capacity of 1,5 million tons consists of 600,000 tons of cold rolled and 900,000 tons of hot dip galvanized steel.

Borçelik's Kerim Çelik brand, which is the first implementer of world-class Steel Service Center (SSC) services in Türkiye, has a metal processing capacity of 500 thousand tons.

Borçelik, which has the title of the first internationally ResponsibleSteel™ certified production facility in Türkiye with its Gemlik production facility, carries out activities that inspire the sector with its actions taken towards sustainability and projects that add value to the society.

Borçelik carries out its operations and works at its facilities in 5 different locations in partnership with ArcelorMittal, one of the world's largest steel producers, and Borusan Holding.
