Borusan’s Practices to Empower Women Set An Example to the World

31 October 2017
The World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) mentioned the Borusan Group from Turkey as the “model institution” in the latest international report concerning better practices that aim to empower women in the global business world.

IFC’s Tackling Childcare: The Business Case For Employer-Supported Childcare report included 10 case studies from around the world. The case analysis study was conducted through the IFC Committee’s weeks of research at Borusan, as well as one-on-one interviews with the employees and leaders. It is the second important international accreditation in our practices in this area, after the United Nation’s WEP.

The report, which analyzes in detail Borusan’s, “My Mom’s Job is My Future”, “Let’s Code, Girls”, and “Love Begins With Language” projects, along with the gender equality practices implemented in our firms, was presented to public and private business industry delegates on October 12th at the annual meeting of the World Bank and IMF.
