BSK Fest Inspires Borusan Employees Once Again in Its Fifth Year

The Borusan Sports Club Festival (BSKFest) brought Borusan employees together for its fifth year in an atmosphere full of sports, music, and entertainment. With its rich program ranging from experience zones and workshops to inspiring talks, BSKFest’25 offered participants an unforgettable day.

Held on September 13 at Sarıyer Bahar Country, the fifth edition of BSKFest welcomed Borusan employees, their families, and friends for a day full of fun, energy, and togetherness.

Opening the program, Nursel Ölmez Ateş, Borusan Holding’s Group President of People, Communication, and Sustainability, stated:

“Sports, art, and sustainability have always been priorities in Borusan’s growth journey. At the Borusan Sports Club Festival, we once again celebrate these values with great enthusiasm on our fifth anniversary. Our corporate culture creates a space for sharing and collective strength—and this festival beautifully reflects that spirit and unity.”

Şükrü Karapınar, Executive Board Member of Borusan Sports Club, added:

“Our traditional festival continues to grow every year and has become an unmissable event in the Borusan calendar. This is a great source of pride for us. Since the club’s founding, the steady increase in the number of our athletes has been remarkable—rising from 534 participants in 2019 to 1,500 today. We wholeheartedly encourage everyone to make more room for sports in their lives.”

The Energy of Sports Meets Social Good

Hosted by Jess Molho, BSKFest’25 brought together 1,500 Borusan employees and their families in a vibrant celebration. Under the motto “Move with BSK!”, the festival highlighted the inclusive and unifying power of sports through a variety of activities for all ages.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed interactive experience zones and engaging workshops, including “Breath and Voice Awareness,” a Kahoot! quiz, and zumba sessions. Exciting tournaments added a competitive edge, while creative and educational workshops drew great interest.

The festival also hosted several special areas such as:

  • Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation – Borusan Story House Workshop
  • Borusan Equals Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Workshop
  • Yuvam Dünya Energy Guardians Workshop
  • BorusanX Activity Zone

All of which fostered learning, creativity, and meaningful interaction.

Highlights of the Day

One of the most engaging sessions was the “Borusan Ocean Volunteers & HEPAD” talk, featuring Elif Aygül, Co-Leader of Borusan Ocean Volunteers, and Emre Demir, Founder of HEPAD. The session focused on recent forest fires and the importance of environmental awareness. It also spotlighted the volunteers’ ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of shelter animals, as well as foster and adoption initiatives.

Another inspiring panel featured young athletes from the Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) Karting Team, including Cem Karakömür, Miraç Gültegin, Batuhan Saraç, and Demir Sağım, who shared their experiences in professional racing.

Following the talks, Borusan Holding Board Member Levent Kocabıyık, Nursel Ölmez Ateş, and Şükrü Karapınar presented plaques to BSK athletes who achieved outstanding results throughout the year.

The festival concluded with an unforgettable live performance by İskender Paydaş and his Orchestra, leaving all participants energized and inspired.
