Borusan Ventures invested in Omen AI, which performs real time fluid analysis powered by artificial intelligence.

Borusan Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Borusan Group, participated in a $41.5 million investment round for Omen AI, a company that performs real-time fluid analysis by offering an integrated hardware and software solution for industrial machinery and data centers.

Borusan Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of the Borusan Group, has invested in Omen AI, a company developing AI-powered, real time fluid analysis solutions. In addition to Borusan Ventures, participants in the Series A round led by Nava Ventures and the seed round led by CRV, included LMNT Ventures, former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, and various other investors.

Defne Kocabıyık Narter: “Omen AI strengthens a critical layer in heavy machinery and data center infrastructure.”

Defne Kocabıyık Narter, Founder and President of Borusan Ventures, commented on the investment: “Omen AI’s technology shifts the approach to heavy equipment maintenance from periodic checks to continuous, data-driven monitoring. We view this as a significant technology capable of enabling the early detection of potential failures and reducing unplanned downtime particularly in operations managing large machinery fleets, such as Borusan Cat, by tracking real time changes in fluids like oil and hydraulics. Furthermore, the rapidly growing sector of liquid-cooled data centers presents a strong growth opportunity for the company.”

Zach Laberge, Co-founder and CEO of Omen AI, stated: “For years, industrial equipment and data centers have relied on the same slow fluid testing process. We are transforming this process into a real time, continuous monitoring layer, enabling operations teams to take action before failures occur.”

Silicon Valley based Borusan Ventures invests in early stage startups across sectors such as energy, mobility, logistics, supply chain, and industrial technologies in the US and Europe. Leveraging the Borusan Group’s 82 years of industrial experience, Borusan Ventures provides strategic support to startups aiming for global success and long-term impact, while creating growth opportunities by offering access to new markets.

Traditional laboratory tests are giving way to real time monitoring

Omen AI focuses on two main use cases. The first of these is liquid-cooled data centers, which are growing rapidly with the spread of artificial intelligence applications. The second is heavy construction machinery and industrial equipment. In both areas, real-time monitoring of fluid health reduces unplanned downtime while extending equipment life and lowering maintenance costs.

Currently, the practice of monitoring industrial fluids through periodic sampling where laboratory results reach teams only after days or even weeks, creates a significant time lag between the equipment's actual condition and the available data. Due to this delay, signs of wear or contamination that could have been detected early escalate into irreversible failures, causing downtime and maintenance costs to skyrocket.

Omen AI’s product bridges this gap with two complementary formats. The first is a sensor that integrates seamlessly and non-intrusively into the machine's existing fluid system, continuously monitoring oil, coolant, or water/glycol circuits. The second is a portable testing device that enables real time analysis in the field. This allows teams to perform on-site diagnostics regarding the machine's condition without waiting for laboratory processes that can take weeks.

By continuously monitoring changes over time rather than relying on static, one-off measurements, this approach detects early warning signs such as wear, contamination, and corrosion, thereby enabling minor maintenance interventions that prevent the situation from escalating into a far more costly failure.
