Borusan's 80-Year Story Echoes in the Thousands of Years Old Avdalaz Castle with Borusan Quartet

Borusan Group is celebrating its 80th anniversary with the concert “The Story of a Dream,” which reflects its deep-rooted past and hopeful vision. On this special anniversary, the powerful melodies from Borusan Quartet take listeners on a historical and musical journey from Afyonkarahisar, where the dreams of Borusan’s late Founder and Honorary President AsımKocabıyık began, to the world.
 

For its 80th anniversary, Borusan is hosting a special concert inspired by its roots. At this significant milestone, the Borusan Quartet is enchanting music lovers with a digital concert titled “The Story of a Dream” in Afyonkarahisar, where the dreams of the Group’s founder and honorary president, the late AsımKocabıyık, blossomed. The concert, recorded in the Avdalaz Castle, one of the city’s symbols with its thousands of years of history, brings together important works from the classical to modern music worlds through the unique interpretation of the Borusan Quartet. The quartet, consisting of EsenKıvrak and NilaySancar on violins, EfdalAltun on viola, and Nil Kocamangil on cello, offers an unforgettable experience with an exquisite repertoire.
 

This special concert, held in the homeland of Borusan’s founder and honorary president, the late AsımKocabıyık, merges the Group’s deep-rooted history with its vision of reaching 200 years and beyond. The cultural richness and historical texture of Afyonkarahisar, combined with the music of the Borusan Quartet, illuminate the values of both the region and the Group. The concert begins with the piece “Karahisar Castle,” highlighting Borusan’s story that has flourished in Afyonkarahisar, which is rich in cultural heritage. This 80-year journey reaches out to the world from the ancient Avdalaz Castle through the Borusan Quartet’s unique interpretation and the universal language of music.
