Borusan Ocean Volunteers Stand by Their Furry Friends

Borusan Paw Ambassadors Support Stray Animals with Food, Foster Care, and Adoption

As part of World Animal Day on October 4, the Borusan Ocean Volunteers Platform launched a new corporate volunteering project in collaboration with Her Eve Bir Pati Derneği (HEPAD). The initiative, titled “Borusan Paw Ambassadors,” aims to support the feeding, foster care, maintenance, and adoption processes of stray animals living at HEPAD Bahçe.

The Borusan Ocean Volunteers Platform, a corporate volunteering initiative driven by Borusan Group’s sense of environmental and social responsibility, continues to add new projects that create value for life. Implemented together with HEPAD for World Animal Day, the Borusan Paw Ambassadors program seeks to offer a loving and hopeful future to abandoned and vulnerable animals.

Within the scope of the program, volunteers will work to improve the physical and emotional well-being of nearly 1,100 furry friends residing at HEPAD Bahçe, making their living spaces more comfortable and secure. They will also help connect animals with foster families, support adoption calls, and act as “flight volunteers” to accompany them on their journeys to new homes abroad.

Through regular visits, Borusan volunteers will contribute to the animals’ socialization, care, and rehabilitation—helping them regain confidence and reconnect with life.

Borusan continues to uphold its commitment to social responsibility and its mission to create value for society, actively encouraging employees to participate in volunteering initiatives. Founded in 2008, the Borusan Ocean Volunteers Platform aims to transform the knowledge, experience, and skills of Borusan employees into social good through the spirit of volunteering.
