Borusan Holding’s Strong Commitment to Environmental and Social Impact: The Third Term of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program Has Been Completed

With the message “For Everyone’s Benefit,” the third term of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program, which delivers tangible positive outcomes, concluded with a closing event. Focused on combating the climate crisis and reducing inequalities, the event highlighted the progress and milestones achieved by the three innovative projects selected for this term. The event also underscored Borusan Holding’s commitment to further expanding its sustainable benefit ecosystem in the coming years.

Strengthening its sustainability vision across the pillars of climate, people, and innovation, Borusan Holding continues to create value for society and the environment through its Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program, designed to support entrepreneurship and foster cross-sector collaborations. The third term of the program—launched under the motto “For Everyone’s Benefit”—was concluded with an event held at Perili Köşk, marking another year of impactful participation and collaboration.

Bringing together members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and industry professionals, the closing event welcomed Borusan Holding executives, the Impact Hub program team, project owners supported over three terms, mentors, trainers, and jury members. During the ceremony, Borusan’s 81-year legacy and sustainability vision were once again emphasized, highlighting how these values continue to shape the Group’s current impact and practices.

Nursel Ölmez Ateş, Borusan Holding’s Group President of People, Communication, and Sustainability, stated:

“The environmental, social, and community impact generated by the projects supported throughout three terms clearly demonstrates the lasting effect of the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program’s solution-oriented approach. By supporting projects that deliver measurable impact in these areas, we continue to strengthen the ecosystem for a more inclusive and resilient future. In the coming years, we will keep evolving the program and expanding its capacity to create meaningful benefit.”

Three Innovative Projects, One Shared Purpose

In its third term, the Borusan Sustainable Benefit Program continued to focus on reducing inequalities and fighting the climate crisis. A total of 428 applications were received from 58 provinces across Turkey, and three projects were selected by the jury for support.

At the closing event held at Perili Köşk, the tangible results and progress of these projects were shared with attendees. The supported projects include:

  • Bongo Art Project – mapping the accessibility of museums through user experiences and offering guidance services;
  • Turkey’s Endangered Sounds Project – drawing attention to biodiversity loss by combining the sounds of endangered bird species with musical compositions;
  • Roof Coliving – developing circular economy solutions to reduce food waste in local markets and improve working conditions for vendors.
