Borusan Holding’s “Inspiring the Future Awards” – Third Edition: Recognizing Internal Sustainability Projects That Inspire the Future

The “Inspiring the Future Awards” by Borusan Holding, which highlight and reward internal projects that embody the company’s sustainability vision built around climate, people, and innovation, were presented for the third time this year.

Out of a total of 108 creative submissions, 10 projects that generated positive impact in areas such as waste management and circular economy, decarbonization, energy and water management, biodiversity, innovation, inclusivity and diversity, occupational health and safety, and talent management were selected for awards.

Launched to showcase and celebrate internal projects that deliver tangible results aligned with Borusan Holding’s integrated sustainability approach, the “Inspiring the Future Awards” continue to grow each year.

First introduced in 2022 to raise sustainability awareness and acknowledge Borusan employees’ contributions, the program receives over 100 project applications annually. In its third edition, 108 projects were submitted from Borusan Group companies in Turkey and abroad.

  • In the “Climate” category, 38 projects focused on decarbonization, energy management, circular economy and waste management, water management, and biodiversity.
  • In the “People” category, 39 projects addressed talent management, inclusivity and diversity, volunteerism, and occupational health and safety.
  • In the “Innovation” category, 31 projects were evaluated for their creativity and transformative potential.

Following an initial screening by Borusan Holding executives and sustainability leaders, the projects were reviewed by an independent jury of internal and external experts over three days. The final stage included an internal voting process by Borusan employees, and 10 winning projects across 10 categories were selected. The winners received their awards from Borusan Holding Group CEO Erkan Kafadar.
