31 October 2011
Borusan Culture and Arts will donate the proceeds of Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic's (BIPO) November 17th concert with pianist Gülsin Onay towards the search and rescue works of the Van earthquake which occurred on October 23, 2011 Sunday.

The proceeds of BIPO's November 17 concert at the Lütfi Kırdar ICEC will be donated to the Chairmanship of Emergency and Disaster Management of the Prime Ministry's Van Earthquake Relief Fund thereby allowing all the audience who bought tickets to contribute to this humanitarian action.

Ahmet Erenli, General Manager of Borusan Culture and Arts said:

"We share the heartfelt pain our citizens in Van are suffering. May the deceased rest in peace, their loved ones endure this calamity and the injured recover from their wounds in the soonest period possible. While contributing to the cultural life of our city and country, we also wish to be a part of the humanitarian efforts spent towards the recovery of our citizens in Van. It is for this very reason that the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic will be on stage on November 17, 2011. The proceeds will go to the relief fund to be used for the earthquake victims. We wish them patience and endurance and genuinely hope the city will be reinstated to a habitable environment soon."
